Today’s container removal took our team from the Surrey Hills to our containerised storage facility in Twickenham — a 4-man job for a customer returning to the Twickenham area after time spent in Hindhead. With a full 3-bedroom house to clear and seven containers to fill across a fleet of three vehicles, this was a multi-vehicle container removal planned and executed with precision.
The job: container removals from Hindhead GU26 to Twickenham
Hindhead sits in the heart of the Surrey Hills, just off the A3 — and while access to the property was good, a full 3-bedroom container removal from this part of Surrey into our storage facility in Twickenham is no small undertaking. Our 4-man crew worked methodically through each room, loading everything carefully and efficiently to keep the operation on schedule.
Good access at the property made a real difference to the pace of the day. With no restricted approaches or awkward parking to contend with, the team could focus entirely on the container loading — exactly the kind of condition that keeps a large container removal running without delay.
Seven containers, three vehicles — how the operation came together
The full contents of the property filled seven storage containers — 1,750 cubic feet of furniture and household goods in total. Moving that volume in a single operation required a coordinated fleet of specialist vehicles. Five containers were transported in our purpose-built 18-tonne container removal vehicle, which is specifically designed to carry and handle storage containers safely and efficiently over longer distances.
The remaining two containers were transported in two smaller specialist vehicles, each purpose-built for container removals. Running a mixed fleet like this is something not every removals company can offer — it requires the right equipment, the right vehicles, and the experience to coordinate multiple container loads to the same destination without confusion or delay.
What containerised storage means for your belongings
Each of our storage containers holds 250 cubic feet of furniture and household goods. Unlike open warehouse storage, containerised storage means your belongings are loaded into dedicated sealed units — nothing is mixed with another customer’s goods, and nothing is touched again until you are ready for delivery. The container removal process ends with everything sealed, labelled, and secure at the facility.
For a customer returning to an area and waiting to move into a permanent property, this matters. Everything is accounted for and when the time comes to deliver, the team already knows exactly what is in store and how it was packed.
Why container removals into storage work so well between moves
For customers returning to an area, waiting on a completion date, or moving in stages, container removals into storage bridge the gap without compromise. Our Twickenham storage facility is well placed for customers relocating to Richmond, Twickenham, Teddington, Kingston, and the wider south-west London and Surrey border area. When the new property is ready, the containers are sealed and waiting — delivery can be turned around quickly and cleanly.
The 4-man crew advantage on a full container removal
A 3-bedroom house going into containerised storage is a job that rewards the right crew size. With four men, the team splits into pairs — one loading and carrying, one organising and packing the containers in sequence. This keeps the container removal moving at pace without cutting corners on how items are handled or stacked. Packing a storage container well is a skill in itself — everything needs to sit stably, use the full cubic footage efficiently, and stay protected for however long it remains in storage.
