This is a must the national health service works in a very different way to that of the UK, the main difference being that you often have to pay for your treatment upfront, and then claim the cost back from the authorities. Costs are not always reimbursed completely either, leaving the patient to fund the shortfall, and this is where top-up health cover (known as a complémentaire or mutuelle) comes in. Schools In France
