Chertsey is a town in Surrey, on the River Thames and the River Bourne. It can be accessed by road from junction 11 of the M25 London orbital motorway. It shares borders with Staines-upon-Thames, Weybridge, Shepperton, Addlestone, Woking and Egham.
The town is part of the London commuter belt, and is served by Chertsey railway station. Chertsey is one of the oldest towns in England. It grew around Chertsey Abbey . The town is centered around Guildford Street and includes a Sainsbury’s supermarket and a library. Also in the town centre are Chertsey Museum and Chertsey Hall, which is used by local societies.
Near Chertsey is St Anne’s Hill, offering excellent views over the surrounding area. Thorpe Park, a theme park, is located north of the town on the site of a former gravel pit
